This Vacheron Constantin Warranty for Australia applies to Vacheron Constantin products purchased or presented for guarantee repairs in Australia only.
Mandatory Statutory Rights
Our goods come with warranty that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Vacheron Constantin Warranty
This Vacheron Constantin Warranty gives you additional rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law and any other laws in relations to the goods. Every Vacheron Constantin watch is made and tested to meet the Vacheron Constantin quality standards. Nevertheless, should your Vacheron Constantin watch prove defective, please contact the Vacheron Constantin dealer indicated on your warranty certificate; only authorized Vacheron Constantin dealers are entitled to provide warranty services as defined in this Vacheron Constantin Warranty. In order to benefit from this Vacheron Constantin international warranty, you will be required to present the original warranty certificate:
1. Warranty certificate – paper version
The warranty certificate must be duly completed, dated, stamped and signed by an authorized Vacheron Constantin dealer.
2. Warranty certificate – chip card
- The purchase date must be indicated on the card.
- The card must have been connected to a peripheral device by an authorized Vacheron Constantin dealer during the purchase, enabling the data recording in Vacheron Constantin data base.
This Vacheron Constantin Warranty covers defects of materials or workmanship of your Vacheron Constantin watch. Subject to your Mandatory Statutory Rights under the Australian Consumer Law, Vacheron Constantin will remedy these identified defects free of charge for up to 24 months from the date of purchase. Thereafter, Vacheron Constantin will repair any defective watch or part subject to a service charge.
The Vacheron Constantin Warranty does not cover:
- defects and damage caused by accidents, improper or abusive use (including knocks, dents, crushing, etc.);
- normal wear and tear of the components;
- misuse or lack of regular maintenance or cleaning of the watch;
- defects resulting from magnetic fields or climatic conditions;
- infiltration of humidity into the case and oxidation (in the case of non-water-resistant watches);
- alterations, tampering, dismantling or services and repairs carried out by anyone else other than the Vacheron Constantin After-Sales Service in Geneva, Switzerland or one of its authorized repair centers;
- fair wear and tear of any non-metallic straps or bracelets (leather, rubber synthetic polymer, etc.);
- watches with the serial number or any other identification mark removed or altered;
- theft or loss.
Subject to your Mandatory Statutory Rights under the Australian Consumer Law, if you make a claim under this Vacheron Constantin Warranty (instead of your Mandatory Statutory Rights) you may be responsible for transportation costs, including but not limited to postage, insurance and packing materials.
